'This Way Up!' is a two-player card game revolving around many kinds of miscellaneous objects that Dr. Science needs putting into his warehouse, with you, as the bumbling assistants who will do it for him!
The game can be played either where each player captures the opponents cards with a higher number, or play it like dominoes, where you match up as many numbers as you can while drawing more cards!
Dr. Science is the mascot for the card game 'This Way Up!'. A man of many talents, he always tries to make his minions work for him as well as he would, but theit incompetence always blows up in their face.
Dr. Science's head went through many versions, as there are many ficticious and real-world scientists to draw inspiration from, so i needed something that was striking and iconic, but also very exaggerated and wacky to line up with the tone of the game. I ended up going with the third design overall, which combined the wacky hairstyle of the 'Bride Of Frankenstein', with the jawline and grin of characters like Maxwell from 'Don't Starve'.
