Chesspionage is the concept for a puzzle game where the player must guide the Ivory King through a series of chess-themed boards and enviromnents to avoid getting captured by the pieces that stand in his way.
The main function of this project was to give life to inanimate objects through character design, much like many animated movies have achieved in the past.

The King Pieces; Can only move one space at a time, as regular chess rules dictate. The White King serves as the character of Chess that the player follows throughout each stage, guiding him through danger.

Queen pieces can move in any direction for any length. It was important in the design process to make each Black and White side look distinctly different from each other, so a younger and older Queen was a valid design choice.

Another set made ot diversify the ways that Chess can be themed differently was a Science Fiction theme, featuring various astronauts, scientists, miliary generals, meteors, and many kinds of aliens, including a Shoggoth and the alien's rulers.
